One of the most unsettling locations I have ever visited. I took this picture around 6pm, still plenty of sun light, but I still felt a chill as I surveyed the surroundings. And it was not so much the haunting atmosphere or the run-down state of the building, but the realisation of the wasted lives, abuse and neglect that characterised early 20th century orphanages such as this one.
